Welcome to ShuoMii Life Media!
Elijah Li and volunteers that identify as cultural minorities in LGBT community who wanted change founded ShuoMii Life Media. ShuoMii was primarily created to provide a voice for the forgotten LGBT minorities in academia communities. In higher education settings the LGBT community highlighted disproportionately favors particular communities, stifling growth and representation and expression of others. Realizing the issues on campuses were just one small facet of the issues at hand, ShuoMii decided to expand its interest to take on the task of repairing the disconnection in our community. The courage to do create ShuoMii came after watching a Rodney Evans movie, ”Brother to Brother”, which highlights the work of Bruce Nugent, one of the editors of Fire!!. Fire!!, born during the renaissance, was a game changer addressing issues such as; homosexuality, bisexuality, interracial relationships, promiscuity, prostitution, and color prejudice within the Black community itself.
Following its inspiration ShuoMii is taking the concept of Fire! and taking it to the next level. Our declaration to the world is to reveal how special we all are by striving to fortify bonds beyond our community and to connect our the global LGBT community.
We are proud to introduce to you:
